You know, when I was a blind 15 year old in school the system thought there was something was wrong with me, why, because I wanted to chase girls & play music. So they put me in a rehabilitation class with 40 other blind kids & took us on a trip to the statue of liberty. Can you Imagine 40 blind kids walking up the winding staircase of the statue of liberty ? It was hot it was narrow, nobody had any idea where the hell they were going or what they were doing. Some kids where tripping some kids were falling other kids were tripping & falling & stepping on other kids that were tripping & falling,
& then this caravan stopped & the teacher made an announcement, “Children we’re in the knee,” whose knee? what knee? & why are we in the knee ? You know nobody ever said life was going to be easy, or stupid
I was given a couple of gifts in my life, one gift is the gift of blindness because it allows me to get to know people from the inside in instead of judging & looking at the color of there outside skin.
The other gift was my passion for music. That taught me never to ever give up on my dream. To this very day, I wake up every morning & I hold it, I embrace it, put on my shoes & start to chase it.
You know someone once said that the aerodynamics of a bumblebee is such that he shouldn’t be able to fly, but there’s only one problem, nobody told the bumblebee. We can be anything we want ,all we have to do is try, Peace
